On Tuesday November 19th, the Pat Dunne fundraiser was held at Rosie O’Grady’s. on 7th Ave in Manhattan. I attended the fundraiser because I had heard nothing but positive things about Mr. Dunne; it seemed like this man was always willing to lend a helping hand. I feel now that it’s Mr. Dunne’s family who could use some help. The more I learned about this man, the more inclined I felt to reach out to him with support and donations during such a trying time in his life.
Pat Dunne, is a former resident manager in New York City and has dedicated his life to helping others. Mr. Dunne has been involved in multiple charities, and has even managed to raise an amazing $2.5 million for the Ronald McDonald House. On another occasion, Mr. Dunne won a car through a raffle, and being the man he is, donated it to charity.
This man, who has been so selfless his entire life, is currently fighting for his own life. Mr. Dunne is living in a nursing home where he is suffering from a terminal illness and needs the support and prayers of his peers.
The Emerald Guild Society, Douglas Elliman, and other resident manger clubs across the city worked hard to make this fundraiser a success, and although it was, donations are still greatly needed.
