On Tuesday, June 17th, the Six Clubs One Strong Hand and Jim O’Connor (Douglas Elliman) came together to host the “Mike Donoghue Next Breath Fundraiser” at Our Lady of Good Counsel in New York City. The event consisted of a night filled with food, fun, good music, and even better people, all in honor of a man who has been an inspiration to all that have had the pleasure of meeting him.
Service industry veteran, Michael Donoghue recently underwent a double lung transplant that left him unable to work, and struggling to make ends meet. With the help of friends and family and the biggest names in property management; The Emerald Guild Society, Hibernia Provident Society, Manhattan Resident Managers, Metropolitan Building Managers, New York Building Manager’s Association, and the Scandinavian-American Building Manager’s Guild, everyone enjoyed themselves while helping to raise money for a man who has done so much in this industry.
It was an honor being present for such a special event and it is times like these that remind me why I love being a part of the service industry because we are more than just a business; we’re family. The Appliance Doctor is wishing Michael a healthy and speedy recovery!
