The technician was efficient and the dryer is working again, but I was very disappointed with the price.

I was charged $160 just for the service call. In my experience, that type of fee often goes toward the parts and labor, but in this case I was charged another $265 on top of it to replace a dryer belt. The actual repair took about 20 minutes and involved replacing one rubber piece.

So I ended up paying $425 total for a relatively simple repair. I understand that businesses have overhead and need to charge for their work, but I felt the final price was excessive for what was done.

The technician did the job quickly and efficiently, and I have no complaint about the workmanship. I just wish I had known beforehand that the $160 service call would be completely separate from the repair cost. Mike was terrific. He arrived when promised, listened to our concerns, and was efficient in performing the diagnostic.  He was honest with his assessment: it turned out that the GFI outlets were the culprit. He saved us a  lot of money by not doing unnecessary repairs.
